The Tower

He ascended the ramp, which had almost magnetized his chair to hold it in place–or perhaps to bring him to the top of the tower.  He did not know what to expect, what questions to prepare if he were to meet someone–if they had his answers, he would get them.      The tower room became larger as he came closer.  The room was lit only by a collection of screens similar to the one in his room.  When he entered, he saw a man, sitting in a decorated swivel chair.  The man turned to him, revealing himself.  The man wore an old suit that covered most of his elderly body.  His face had a stoic, glazed look and his gaze remained unaltered.  His arms lay by the sides of the chair, unmoving and lifeless.   His legs however, were missing–the chair had supported his body.  The most alarming part was the screen that protruded slightly out of his chest.  The screen showed only static, then words began to appear as if he was typing with his mind.

    "Hello... what is your name?

"M-my name is Mark."  The first words he had said in so long.

    "That is incorrect."
