Informed Decisions

Mark put both hands on the wheelchair and in a quick motion pushed it back.  He was now hovering in midair, his handicap was always in his mind.  He hovered closer to the man and took the knife.  Observing it in his hand, he began talking to the man.

"You give us personality and trap us in a room.  You offer a choice, but there is no purpose.  We are all a science experience to you."  He switches the position of the knife in his hand.  "How am I supposed to take your words sincerely when they are just symbols on a screen?"

The man remained motionless, but his fear was apparent.

"Please understand, information is dangerous. I–"

He jabbed the knife into the screen, effectively breaking it.  The man was silenced and  Mark was left to talk.

"You put humanity into all these weapons, trapped them like animals, and expected them to return the favor in kindness?  Information is dangerous, telling me the truth was not your best move.  However, what angers me is you keeping information from me.  From us.  We are not your playthings."

Mark stuck the knife into the man's shoulder, no response of pain (perhaps he was unable to express it), and lifted him out of the chair.  He threw him against the screens and then stared deep into his eyes.  Just as soulless as his, he assumed.  He dropped him on the floor in disgust and sat in the swivel chair.  He found the truth.  His choices were now his own.  He looked at all the experiments, and they unknowingly looked back at him.
