Small Group Activity (In Class): "Expressionism as a Philosophy in Form"
In groups of four examine the art object you have been given.
Look at the text from Long that is listed under your artwork. Find a quotation or two that you can use to describe this artwork, its context, or the artist.
If you have time, find a quotation from the section on Der Sturm.
Prepare a mini-presentation on the artwork for the class in which you explain how your Expressionist artist translated a philosophy into the artwork's form, content, and/or style.
You should give a group presentation. That means everyone speaks.
Your presentation will be about 3-5 minutes. Be sure to introduce significant details about the artwork (title, artist, year, movement / affiliation, etc.).
You will submit your presentation in written form to me. Bullet points are fine. Please make sure I can read it.
