The figures in the painting are paraded as an epitomization of the projected role of women within the Nazi Weltanschauung (worldview). The golden hue of the subjects' skin artifically attempts to bridge a perceived timeless past with a romanticized future. Devoid of plight, the women appear content in their gendered, rural identities. Their regimented and compartmentalized subjectivities are intended to represent the eternal symbol of German livelihood.
