Critical Commons is a kind of "YouTube for scholars," a public media archive and fair use advocacy network that supports "the transformative reuse of media in scholarly and creative contexts." Critical Commons supports video, images, and audio files, and you can add your own media to it--for more information, visit the Critical Commons site.

To import media from Critical Commons, click the menu at the top of the navigation on the left side of the window and select "Import". Next, click "Affiliated archives" and then "Critical Commons". The Critical Commons Importer will appear, with an option to perform a search of the archive. Note that it's best to wait at least a half an hour before trying to import media that was recently added to Critical Commons, to allow the media to be processed properly.

Once search results are returned, you can preview individual files by clicking their "Preview" links on the right, or select one or more media files to import by clicking their associated checkboxes. Then, clicking the "Import selected media" button at the bottom will bring the media's metadata into Scalar.
