Race Issue in Video Games

In a study, it was found that 71% of lead characters were white males (6). Although isn't a big issue, it was reported that blacks and Hispanics  buy and play video games more often than white players. This effect can lead to default whiteness which implies that being white is the "norm." This can be influential. However, there are even bigger issues such as racial attacks and racial stereotypes in the gaming world.
