Kannon Hall

  • on front to the right is statue of young mother nursing baby, which is the most celebrated statue 
  • Statue 
  • on a lotus flower shaped pedestal 
  • unlike anything else from that period 
  • some call it the Virgin Mary Kannon because it looks like a baroque statue of a Christian saint
  • this temple administered by Kōmyō-ji
