The evolving research on ETA

There are many other studies currently in progress that are going deeper into the history and motivations of ETA. One article by Mark Bieter uses primary sources to reveal more about the relationship between Spain and ETA. One person the author spoke with was held and tortured by the Spanish government in 2003 for having suspected ties with ETA. In the end, it turned out that the man was innocent. The Spanish government got in trouble for this, but it shows just how brutal the relationship was between Spain and ETA. This paper, titled "The Rise and Fall of ETA" is informative to us because it uses primary sources, and is still in development. The link to this research can be found in the bibliography.
