In town you find the government office already flooded with farmers who are outraged that meat is being wasted while their families are struggling to find food. The official looks rather flustered as he tries to explain that he can’t do anything about it but mention their complaint to his superiors. Eventually, everyone goes home and the office is left in peace.

Several months later, in October, you hear that farmers across the nation had all spoken out about the slaughter and consequently, President Roosevelt has created the the Federal Surplus Relief Corporation to buy up excess commodities and distribute them to people who need it. With this new corporation, there will be more food for the people who are simply unable to make ends meet.
