Introduction

Today, many of the companies dominating the food produce industry publicize their dedication to sustainability. Unlike many of these companies, Dole has stood by the quality and sustainability of their produce and production methodologies since the day James Dole began growing pineapples in Wahiawa, on Oahu Island, Hawaii (1901).
