While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. Twine is an open-source, interactive, digital story telling platform. Students can use this platform to create "choose-your-own-adventure" narratives or essays. Because Twine enables writers to give their readers choices about which paths to follow, students can also think about writing and ideas as about making choices or following given paths.
The platform is easy to learn--watch the 9-minute video tutorial--and easy to share. While no coding knowledge is necessary, some basic html allows the insertion of images into the Twine essay
