Memes in the Course
Throughout this course, we were asked to create memes on our own. The memes that I created were based on its origin. We learned about the origin of memes on knowyourmeme.com.
1. "Best Gift Ever, I Want One." This meme was created for my "Know Your Meme" Project. I used Elf to show enthusiasm toward my app. This would advance on the fact that even Elf wants The Best Gift Ever.
2. "Why Obama Won." This meme was a political remix. This remix was in response to the meme called "Binders Full Of Women." It was in response to the political campaign where Mitt Romney actually made this statement. This statement went viral, and in the end Mitt Romney lost the campaign.
3. "Success Kid, HD Channels." This meme was a remix to the Success Kid ad for Virgin Mobil. This was my response to the ad based on the origin of the Success Kid.
4. "Socially Awesome Penguin, Walk into Class." This meme was remixed. The Socially Awesome Penguin is someone who knows everything. This was made to prove the theory.
5. "Success Kid, Grandma's Birthday." This meme was used also used in my "Know Your Meme" Project. It was used to emphasize the fact that this Success Kid can find a gift for his grandmother using The Best Gift Ever.
6. "Doge." This meme is an interpretation of the Doge meme that has gone viral. The purpose of this meme is to be short and not have complete sentences.
