Humanities Past
Department Description:
The humanities forum is an interdisciplinary program for study in the humanities. The Forum is funded in part by a development grant awarded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. The program seeks to enrich existing humanities courses and implement new approaches to instruction in the humanities. The Forum includes faculty and students from Concordia, Moorhead State College, and North Dakota State University. (Quoted from the 1972 Concordia College course catalog)
Department Head:
Albert Anderson had a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Theology, a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. He was the head of a number of departments at this time.Other Faculty:

Majors and Minors Offered:
There were no majors or minors offered at this point in time. The program worked in much the same way as the Honors program in which students applied and were accepted into the program as an almost extracurricular line of study.Sampling of Courses Taught:
- Courses taught in the Humanities Forum program were designed to be in-depth interdisciplinary studies of a significant theme.
