Chelsea's Experience
I had done several productions at Muhlenberg working with Bill Mutimer when I found out that he heads up the drama program at Northwestern Lehigh High School. He asked me to come in and help with their production of Footloose in the spring of 2014 and those kids changed my life. Working with them helped me realize how important it is to have art in schools and to inspire teens and young adults to realize their artistic potential. NWLH reminds me of “Glee.” Half of the actors are also football, track and field and soccer stars and they do a really awesome job in all of their shows as well. I was thrilled to come in and help choreograph Damn Yankees. I am so sad that graduating and moving back to Los Angeles will mean the end of me working with NWLH’s drama program, but I hope some of my friends at Muhlenberg will become my successors there and continue Muhlenberg’s relationship with NWLH.
