CSU-Pueblo Mural

CSU-Pueblo MEChistAs took the initiative to create and place a mural representing Chicana/o Culture at the University in the 2003-2004 school year. MEChistAs has the understanding that the university held a lot of Chicana/o History and understood it needed to be documented in some type of way, and because Chicana/o culture is rich in murals they felt a mural would be the best way. With this they teemed up with a Professor in the art department and created the Mural. The Mural includes Chicana/o leaders, images from indigenous cultures, recognition of Colorado Chicana/o student organization, logos of, the Colorado American Indian Movement and of the Barrio Warriors, as well as snippets of Chicana/o history on campus.
