Choosing & Using Sources: A Guide to Academic Research at CSU-Pueblo

SuperSearch

What is SuperSearch?

SuperSearch is a discovery tool that contains records for almost all of the items owned or licensed by CSU-Pueblo's Library, along with open access scholarly materials.  It is shared with CSU-Ft. Collins, and you can request books from their collection to use here.  See Requesting Books from Ft. Collins. Besides physical materials including print books, dvds, government documents, and maps, SuperSearch gives you online access to millions of scholarly articles, as well as conference proceedings, technical reports, magazine and newspaper articles, streaming videos, ebooks, and primary sources.

Your Library Account

SuperSearch  includes a circulation system used to check out library materials. Choose University, and use your campus network userid and password to log into your library account. Your account lets you monitor and renew items that you've checked out from CSU-Pueblo, Morgan Library at Ft. Collins, and Prospector libraries. You can use it to request books and other materials to be put on hold for pick up at the library's circulation desk on the first floor of the LARC building.

Personalize SuperSearch

Once you have logged into your library account, you can personalize your searching by choosing your area or major so that your search results are related to your discipline. After running a search, you'll see "Personalize" in the middle of the screen underneath the search box. Clicking on it allows you to choose multiple disciplines based on your research needs.

Activity:   Run a search on your favorite topic, log into your library account, and personalize it!
