Stone Classics (Shi Jing 石經) are stone engravings of the Confucian classics. The practice of carving ancient Confucian classics on stone started during the Eastern Han dynasty (25-220 AD), which was intended to establish and preserve standard editions. This book includes Shi Jing from the Eastern Han to Jin 金 (1115-1234) dynasties. It was written by Gui Fu 桂馥 (1736-1805), an eminent evidential research scholar, poet, calligrapher, and seal carver of the mid-Qing period. Donated by Dr. Peter Marie Suski.
