Letter from the Chair: Dr. Anna J. Catterson

Dear C2C Members:

I am honored so serve as the Chairperson for Colleague2Colleague (C2C) for 2016-2017! I have been part of the organization for many years and am thrilled to help lead the organization for this year. I currently serve as the Educational Technology Coordinator at Emporia State University where I research new and emerging technologies, collaborate with faculty and develop grant proposals. Kendra Barker, Instructional Design Specialist from the University of Missouri Kansas City, serves as the Vice-Chair for this year. Kendra and I are always interested in discovering new tools for the classroom and how to engage students and faculty and meaningful interactions. C2C offers many ways to connect and we are honored to be on your team.

Over the past several years C2C has given me the tools needed to better serve my institution and my colleagues. I encourage you to actively engage and participate in our listserv where you can ask questions and receive feedback from our members. C2C consists of a diverse group of people with many resources and networks depend and rely on them for help with new and emerging technologies. Discover, Engage and Connect with each other to explore unlimited possibilities.

C2C also offers a Digital Magazine full of articles that are written by our members.  Thank you to the Digital Magazine committee for preparing the issue and working diligently to obtain high-quality content. Also, thank you to the authors who have submitted work – we appreciate you!

Our team is busy preparing the 2017 SIDLT workshop which has been slated for August 2-4. There are several new additions this year! First, an LMS pre-conference is being planned for August 2nd. Thank you to Butler County Community College for leading the committee! Also, we have TWO keynotes this year! TWO! Dr. Sheree Utash, President of Wichita Area Technical College and Dr. Christy Zeigler, Assistant Superintendent Innovation and Performance at Shawnee Mission School District. We are thrilled to have these two women in STEM present on our theme “Discover, Connect and Engage”!  We also have a few other new additions that you will be learning about soon…

In the coming months, we will be posting information related to Nominations for Awards and an all-call for presenters for SIDLIT. If you are not connected with C2C on social media platforms, you can find us on Facebook and Twitter.

Thank you to all of our members for always striving to Discover, Connect and Engage. This is an exciting year and I look forward to working with you all. Please feel free to contact me anytime you have questions or need more information.

Discover, Connect & Engage!
