"The Road" Video
When I started to create my video for The Road, I wanted it to reflect a theme that struck me in the book: the boy's innocence. I also wanted to offer a view of what the family's life could have looked like if the apocalyptic events of this book never occurred. After I submitted the first video, it was pointed out to me that it was a little disjointed. The boy fishing offers a nice introduction, but the rest of the video doesn't really mesh with it. I decided to remove the movie clips at the end of the video and replace them with video of a father teaching a boy how to ride a bike. I think that it matches very well with the introduction of the video and contrasts with the words on the screen in a sad way.
