It's 2015 now, and 2016 is right around the corner. Who knows what this next year will bring. Each year, our world experiences endless changes, both good and bad, in all aspects of living, whether it be politics, science, nature, or culture. However, among all, one of the most universal changes that continues to grow exponentially each year is technology. Kids as young as five years old have iPads and iPhones!! 

This is crazy in mind. Slowly goes the days of playing cards or board games, or even just playing outside. Each generation is gradually becoming more technology driven and there's nothing stopping this. By no means do I believe this growth in technology is a bad thing. No, no, no. I admit I am excited to see what it's in store for the future. Flying cars, perhaps? 

Yet, I do believe that this new technology means we, as humans, need to learn to adjust to these changes and advances to the best of our ability.

Leo Buscaglia quotes that "change is the result of all true learning," but could it also be said that "all true learning is a result of change" ? 

Essentially, I think it's an endless cycle. Change in the world is what sparks us to truly learn the ways of the world, and as a result, this new learning causes more change to happen. 

Thus, English 366: Honors Literature and the Other Arts aims to make change, but also learn as a result of surrounding changes. The class incorporates various mediums, including music, sound, video, and other technologies with literature. As students, we learn to express our imaginations, creativity, critical thinking and analysis, into these mediums and encourage our viewers to do the same in "boosting" their literature.
