FC Barcelona: A Home for Hungarian Footballers

László Kubala proved his disloyalty to the Hungarian state even more when he convinced famous footballers Sándor Kocsis and Zoltán Czibor to join him at Barca in 1957. Kocsis and Czibor, along with the famous Aranycsapat or Golden football team, were not anxious to return home to Hungary after the 1956 Revolution. After losing a game at the Melbourne Olympics, the Golden Team completed a competitive tour around South America. They most likely were trying to raise funds in order to stay abroad permanentlyKocsis and Czibor signed with Barca in Fascist Spain, one of the Eastern bloc's foremost enemy countries.

The following video clip is a film trailer for the recent Hungarian-language documentary, Magyarok a Barcáért (Hungarians for Barca). Unfortunately, there is no existing trailer with English subtitles.
