Juan de Páez: Steward of the Guadalajara Cathedral
One of the most outstanding features in Juan de Páez’s professional life was his appointment as steward of the “tithe incomes” in the Guadalajara Cathedral for over twenty years. No doubt, this position catapulted him and his family to even greater economic and social heights in seventeenth-century Tapatía society.
