Part Six

Botswana: 1 hour until requiem

The day had finally come.  The end of all ends.  The tribe joined in a large circle around a fire pit that seemed to reach for miles around.  Never in my life had I been so happy.  The time had finally come.  We had been in meditation for the past week.  Food was now unnecessary.  Hunger did not hurt us.  In fact, I believe we had transcended pain.  All minds were clear.  As we sat waiting we used only the sun as a guide to time.  We knew either way we would know when the requiem, as they called it, was among us.

And then there was nothing...nothing but the face.  It was as if I were looking into a telescope, it engulfed all vision.  Noise ceased to exist.  People ceased to exist.  I did not exist.  What was left was pure solace.  I know now what ANON truly meant.  All information had been singularized into what seemed like a black hole that I was now apart of.  Though ANON first came to us as if through some viral technology, it was in fact the end of technology.  Communication was not needed.  Networks were not needed.  In fact it was the end to us all.

Solace...Peace...Metaphysicality...that was the answer.

Welcome to peace.
