Homosexuality in Perspective
William Masters & Virginia Johnson - nonfiction - 1979 - p. 76, 207
Researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson conducted pioneering studies on human sexuality between the late 1950s and the 1990s. Their findings dispelled a number of myths and incorrect beliefs, particularly about female arousal and sexual function; they were also pioneering--and controversial--in their use of live subjects.
Between 1968 and 1977, their research institute ran a purportedly successful homosexual conversion therapy program. Some accounts hold that Johnson objected to this practice and believed Masters to have fabricated some of the results.
