Digital History Seminar: 20th Century Spain

Project Guidelines

The purpose of these guidelines is to ensure a high level of professionalism and consistency among project contributions.

Writing Guidelines

The chart below, by Jason Steinhauer, provides good guidelines for how to write for the web.

Hyperlinks

Hyperlinks can be added to provide project users with relevant research materials housed elsewhere on the web. Relevant research materials may include documentary evidence, cultural expressions, and scholarly works. Before adding a hyperlink, assess the credibility and stability of the source. Although hyperlinking to websites that are housed by universities, libraries, or government agencies is generally recommended,  other websites may be relevant. All  hyperlinks added to this project, should open in a different browser window, so be sure to click the "Open in a new browser window box."

Citation Style

The citation style for this project is Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition. Please consult the Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition Guide and use Zotero to organize and format your research references.

Footnotes

When you need to footnote, highlight the relevant text and add your note and/or reference using scalar's note function.
