The Los Angeles Yiddish Culture Club

Founded in 1926, the Los Angeles Yiddish Culture Club became one of the most enduring Yiddish-based organizations in the city. Its members included virtually every Yiddish writer artist and performer in Southern California and the Club hosted dozens of other internationally renowned Yiddishists. This thematic tag attempts to capture the social and cultural networks that sustained the club and its members' various publications, including Pasifik and Khesbn.
