Nessah Synagogue: Founder

Rabbi David Shofet was born in Iran and immigrated to the United States in 1980. He is the founder and head Rabbi of Nessah Synagogue. He is the son of Rabbi Hakham Yedidia Shofet, who was the former Chief Rabbi of Iran, considered the leader of the Persian Jewry. Once Nessah was on its feet, Rabbi Hakham Yedidia Shofet joined his son and together they worked on creating a more stable congregation. Upon the passing of Rabbi Hakham Yedidia Shofet, his son (Rabbi David Shofet) was recognized as being the new spiritual leader of the Persian Jewry.
