Iranian Jewish Women's Organization of Southern California: Chapters of the IWJO

The Iranian Jewish Women’s Organization has thrived in Los Angeles since its inception in 1976. Three new chapters opened in 2002: Women of Vision, Mothers of Tomorrow, and The Next Generation. These three chapters each target a specific subsection of the Iranian Jewish community in order to promote unity and education in the Iranian Jewish Community.

Women of Vision Chapter
The goal of this chapter is to celebrate the accomplishments of Iranian Jewish American women and encouraging them to further achieve their goals by providing them the opportunity to network in their personal and professional lives, as well as providing a network of resources and support.

Mothers for Tomorrow Chapter
The goal of this chapter is to provide support for the women responsible for raising the next generation of Iranian Jews. This chapter concentrates on charitable works and preserving the Iranian culture so as to best transmit this culture to the next generation.

The Next Generation Chapter
The goal of this chapter is to create a sense of unity within the younger generations in order to ensure their participation in the Iranian Jewish Community. These goals are pursued through the chapter’s involvement in student organizations such as UCLA Hillel’s Iranian Student Group, as well as the creation of a community of young women with similar objectives.
