About The Knotted Line tactile interface
To explore The Knotted Line tactile interface, simply move your mouse. You’ll find that the line’s curves and shapes respond immediately. Keep moving the curve until something gives. Clicking and dragging may be useful as well.
You can scroll back and forth along the line by moving your cursor to the left and right edges of the screen. Hold down the mouse button while scrolling to speed up the movement. Click or drag the map in the top right to jump instantly to a spot on the line.
Once the line has shown you what it’s holding, move your mouse towards those marked locations for details. Each includes a link to click that will take you deeper by opening a second window. After you’re done exploring, click back in the first window to continue traveling along the line.
Sometimes questions will appear at the bottom of the screen. You can read other people’s answers, or add your own.
