Video archives
Beginning in the late 1970s, a number of local, grassroots organizations began to record Holocaust survivors’ life stories on videotape. Subsequently, some of these projects became part of major universities, museums, and research institutions.
In addition to the VHA, some major collections of video interviews with Holocaust survivors include:
Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies
Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre
Yad Vashem Archives
A list of international collections of audio and/or video collections of oral histories with survivors or other witnesses to the Holocaust can be found at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
