Memorial books
Yizkor-bikher—collaboratively written memorial books documenting Jewish communities in individual towns throughout Eastern Europe before the war—were written by the hundreds in the decades following World War II. These books also include accounts of the destruction of these communities during the Holocaust and list the names of those who were murdered. Memorial books can be found on line at the Yiddish Book Center.
