women vs. black women

It is an interesting point that the category of woman negates all non-white women. I think to when people try to describe another person they will often say 'woman' if it is a white woman and black (or replace with other minority) woman if they are non-white. This is something very deeply socialized into us that we don't even notice when we say it.
