Here's the story as I've received it. 

1. My dad ran for steward of Local 10. 
   
2. On the night of the election, the rank and file of the union was told that they would all lose their jobs if they voted for Tom Wingate.
   
3. He didn't win the election. 
   
4. He came home, got his gun, and tried to kill the Business Manager of Local 10, Walter Suhaka. 

What percentage of the facts are wrong, I can't say. Nor can I assess what facts are missing. But there's a little bit of a paper trail that suggests some deeper intrigue. 

And one thing's for sure: Thomas J. Wingate was ready for a fight with The Man.
