Why Your Baby Needs a Dust Free Bedroo

Why Your Baby Needs a Dust-Free Bedroom and How to Keep It That Way

Bringing your little one from the hospital is, without a doubt, an unforgettable experience. However, before that time comes, there is a lot of planning and preparation you should do.

Your precious one is small and vulnerable. Therefore, almost everything can pose a danger to their immune system, at the early phase of their life.

To that end, thoroughly cleaning your home before getting your baby to the house is primordial. According to experts, babies are prone to develop allergies in their first months of life. Apart from that, as soon as they learn how to do that, they place random objects into their mouth – which is entirely normal. However, it’s up to you to ensure your baby’s bedroom is dust-free and clean.

Getting stressed about germs and dust is normal. Some can lead to serious diseases that are specifically dangerous to infants. Instead of living a stressful existence, you should embrace and accept that you cannot control everything. Germs are everywhere; still, this doesn’t mean you want to expose your little one to them deliberately, right?
Here are the steps you should take to ensure that your house is germ-free and dust-free.

De-Clutter – The First Step

Without a doubt, this is the primary step to a thorough house cleaning. It doesn’t make any sense to start cleaning the house unless you have decluttered the area. Having too many things lying around will make it more difficult for you to keep the living area dust-free. On that note, simplify your existence my clearing up the house, especially the bedroom.

Dust from top to bottom

As soon as the bedroom, and the entirehouse, looks de-cluttered, it’s time to proceed to the next step: dusting. Dust is an omnipresent enemy that causes allergies in infants and toddlers. Living with an allergy is far from being enjoyable – which means us – parents should do what we can do prevent that from happening.

On that note, make sure you start with dusting the tops of all doors, window frames, pictures, furniture – in a nutshell, everything in your house/room. All that can be easily done using a portable vacuum cleaner. After you’ve done dusting the baseboards, the next step is vacuuming the floor.

In fact, if you use an upright vacuum cleaner for home, you’d be surprised how clean your house will look afterward. And the best thing is that such a vacuum cleaner is effortless to use, and it doesn’t take a lot of time: a win-win situation.

Wash fabric items, windows, and baseboards

Make sure you wash all the bedding, mattress pad, bed skirt, so on and so forth. Substituting old pillows with new ones is also a good idea to eliminate residues of dust that may be lying around. Of course, washing the windows and baseboards is also mandatory before the coming of the new baby to the house.

Clean the flooring

The final step is mopping the flooring, and shampooing rugs and carpets. You wouldn’t guess how much dust and germs lie in carpets and rugs.

To conclude, these would be the main steps you should take to prepare your home for the little one. If you de-clutter your house, it will be much easier to maintain it dust-free and clean, at all times. If anything, make sure you get help so that your little one is safeguarded from germs and dust! Stay safe!
