Documenting Amaranth Borsuk and Brad Bouse's Interactive Poetry Project

Biographies

Amaranth Borsuk is a scholar, poet, and book artist based in Washington state, where she is an assistant professor in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington, Bothell. Her work includes poetry (Handiwork, Tonal Saw, Pomegranate Eater), artist books, and collaborative digital projects (Abra, As We Know, Whispering Galleries, Between Page and Screen), and she has a special interest in investigating textual materiality. She earned a PhD from the University of Southern California in Literature and Creative Writing and has been a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in the Humanities at MIT. She is married to developer Brad Bouse. 

Brad Bouse is a coder, designer, and consultant with interests in creative coding, user experience, and open source. Based out of Seattle Washington, he is the CEO and co-founder of Lightboard, a design consulting service. He has been involved in a number of coding projects, including Yammer, Glitchbooth, and Solving Sol. Creatively, he has collaborated with Amaranth Borsuk on electronic literature projects Whispering Galleries and Between Page and Screen. He has a degree in film production from the University of Southern California. He is married to writer and artist Amaranth Borsuk.
