Corey Creekmur

Corey Creekmur is Associate Professor of English and Film Studies at the University of Iowa, where he also directs the Institute for Cinema and Culture and is affiliated with The Department of Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies, and the South Asian Studies Program. He has co-edited three volumes—Out in Culture: Gay, Lesbian, and Queer Essays on Popular Culture; Cinema, Law, and the State in Asia; and The International Film Musical—and published essays on topics including Hindi film songs, Gary Cooper in the 1930s, Western theme songs, the films noir of Jacques Tourneur, and sound in post-9/11 films. He posts his videographic work on his Vimeo page.
