  • Nirvana is a Buddhist term which means, "blowing out," or, "extinguishing," and refers to the event of the extinction of the fires of attachment (raga), aversion (dvesha), and ignorance (mocha), when these fires are extinguished, suffering comes to an end and one is released from the cycle of rebirth.

  • Nirvana is a metaphysical place of perfect peace and happiness which is the highest state that someone can attain.
