This picture is taken of Mt Bukō which is a large mountain in Chichibu, in the Saitama prefecture of Japan. Some significant features of the mountain are visible in this picture, such as the extensive limestone mining causing scarring down the mountain’s face. The mountain is 1,304 meters high and is located right at the southern edge of Chichibu. Temples Ryūgasan Daien-ji Temple (Temple 27) and Butsudōsan Nosaka-ji Temple (Temple 12) are on the border of the mountain and city.
