Specifically, in "Killing Time at Lightspeed" the narrative format of a social media feed is used to make the reader feel isolated and powerless. However, in "THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES!", the format of flashing frames and fast, upbeat music empowers the reader. Through the techniques these works use for such disparate ends, much can be learned on the impact of nontraditional narrative structures on the reader.
