The Associated Students UCSB Living History Project is an open-access digital history project exploring the ways in which increased UCSB students engagement with the university and surrounding community has shaped the local history. Integrating images, video, audio, and text this project aims to share the histories of as many communities as possible. The Scalar format allows the reader to  to move through the material in unique and varied ways which allows for a greater understanding of how various histories are interconnected.  Currently, the content can be viewed through the 26 chapters on the left side of the site.  In the near future readers will be able to view the material through historical themes and multiple paths interweaving the content.
