Woolfe describes how Schneider’s album is a reflection of her hometown. Its sounds are peaceful and she is bringing change to the world of jazz and the Orchestra Jazz Ensemble. Big band jazz originally used to rely on swing music. Schneider never abandoned part of this feel, but she took on a different aura and has since tweaked the sound to create more peaceful melodies, but still full of the soul that categorizes big band jazz music. This article also shows the talent and innovation that Schneider brings to jazz.
