"Ten Duel Commandments" starts directly after "Stay Alive" because this is where the the duel between General Lee and John Laurens. However Hamilton, Burr and the rest of the company, narrate the technicalities of counting to ten before shooting at each other.

This song is one of my favorite songs because "Burr" and "Hamilton" provide insight and an action associated with each number. Even though ever one is fighting with the British the feisty Laurens still provokes fighting within the group, but there is still a respect aspect that must be followed in order to keep their dignity. Technically there are many aspects to the song because it does tell how to properly "duel", but it shows how the characters must uphold their dignity by "face"ing one another with confidence. This gives insight to the audience about how everything is based around a person's name and how they either create it or uphold it.
