After the death of their son Philip, Angelica narrates how the family moved "uptown" and how they try to mourn and live with the unimaginable: no longer having their son and all of the happenings with Alexander and Maria. Alexander apologizes for his actions and that he cannot handle how he did something so bad. He tells her "that would be enough" just to be by her "side" again.

When I heard this song the first time I almost cried because of how beautiful and honest this moment is. It is interesting that Eliza's phrase to Alexander ("that would be enough") is used by Alexander to Eliza this time. This song is hard to analyze because even just reading it captures that feeling of helplessness that the couple feels without their son and a family in struggles. The use of repeating the word "unimaginable" really works for this song because they are right, it is unimaginable to figure out what they are going through and the audience is left to just watch in empathy for the lovers.
