Gospel Thrillers: Conspiracy, Fiction, and the Vulnerable Bible

Welcome to Gospel Thrillers

Welcome to Gospel Thrillers, a digital companion to my work-in-progress tentatively titled Gospel Thrillers: Conspiracy and the Bible in Popular Culture. (Note from May 27, 2018: my previous tentative title was Gospel Thrillers: Fear, Desire, and the Bible in U.S. Culture. Working on these novels over the past six months has led to me to understand how central conspiracy is to my overall project and the focus on certain novels. As the book does not yet exist, I'm always open to further feedback!).

I intend this site to be a clearing house of information for the collection of some three dozen novels under analysis in Gospel Thrillers: summaries of the novels (including "spoiler alerts!"), links to reviews, discussions of thematic content that inform my analysis of the novels (Bible in the U.S.; biblical "discoveries"; colonialism and the Bible; et alia); and links to current events that seem to draw on the persistent motifs and desires evident in the gospel thrillers.
