As part of our editorial work, we are collecting assignments and best practices for teaching The Learning Tree, so as to make it easier for other teachers to use the film, novel and accompanying materials on our website to teach a wide range of topics, including race in Kansas, adaptation, historical scholarship, and other topics. Parks was a passionate teacher of others, and we would like to see his work to continue his work.
