Thank you for visiting my online project on a rare book, 西海紀遊草 Reminiscences of Western Travels, written by a Chinese traveler to America in 1849. This project builds on my other eBook in Project Gutenberg, which I completed in March 2017. Project Gutenberg is a very good platform for preserving old books, but there were many things I couldn't do for my eBook there because of their limitations. That's why I am now constructing this site.
But I need more time. When finished, this site will consist of the full text of 西海紀遊草 Reminiscences of Western Travels. It will also contain relevant American press reports of the time. The layout will be very different from my eBook in Project Gutenberg.
It is quite a challenge to build this site. For the Project Gutenberg eBook, I wrote the html and css codes. But this site demands a different set of skills and attention as I have to use tools provided by Scalar. You are welcome to provide comments either on the eBook on Project Gutenberg or on this eBook on Scalar.
