Female Catholic Composers

Contents

Female Catholic composers of the past, particularly pre-reformation, are often forgotten or discredited to the point of hundreds of years of missing history during which women were almost certainly composing, however their compositions are equally meaningful as those of their male counterparts; female composers were present throughout history, though not as prevalent due to a difference in educational opportunity as compared to male composers.
