Jazz Kiang

Justin “Jazz” Kiang is a second-year undergraduate student at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is currently pursuing a major in Asian American Studies and has other interests in Ethnic Studies and Arabic language. Currently, he is the Assistant Director of External Affairs for the Asian Pacific Coalition and serves as one of UCLA’s campus delegates for the West Coast Asian Pacific Islander Student Union. An out-of-state student from Boston, his interests lie in community engagement – particularly through social, economic, political, and educational issues – and bridging student activism with the work of community-based organizations. In his time away from organizing activities and the classroom, Jazz enjoys playing basketball, listening to Hip-Hop and R&B music, discovering new restaurants, and writing spoken word poetry.
