  • Park & Stapleton’s “How the views of faculty can inform undergraduate Web-based research: Implications for academic writing” (in Google Drive)
  • Chapter 7, "Can I Google That?" from The New Digital Scholar (in Google Drive)
  • 800 Read: Scholarship Assessed, Beginning -Chapter 2
Do:

During Class

  1. Warm-Up: What have you learned from Brain Rules or New Learning that has caused you to change something in your life or work processes?

  2. Ticket Out:

    1. 2-3 Key Ideas: looks like the readings and activities drove home the point; writing is material! :-)

        1. Excited
    2. Confused: concerns about weekly work (I'll update if I'm concerned; like don't stress horizontal rule) and the Literacy Narrative (we'll talk below).

    3. Know More: sharing experiences and VoiceThread (discussing/sharing apps)

  3. Evaluating Resources Activity

    1. Open up a digital document, write/list all criteria you can think of to evaluate a resource.

    2. DON’T DO THIS UNTIL YOU’VE COMPLETED #3.1...Copy your list and move into this document.
