Major Assignment Prompt

Your assignment needs to be written for students, individuals who are not already experts in your field. You also need to provide enough details to help students successfully complete the assignment. The assignment prompt will need to include the following information:

  • Goal/Outcomes/Objectives,

  • Scenario/Rhetorical Situation,

  • Interactive Components (Schedule and/or Scaffolding--not the activities themselves, just a list of what/when), and

  • Submission Guidelines.

Fine Tuning the Submission

  • Make it Visual: Find an image that represents the assignment. Be sure to include a citation for the image (demonstrate behaviors you want your students to use). Consider using Compfight (compfight.com) with the “creative commons” filter to find images that will not break copyright.

  • Support: Provide students with a list of resources they might use to help complete the assignment.
